Terms of service
These terms cover datingmou.com and the Dating MOU product, operated by Luke AI, LLC. Using the site means you accept them. Last updated 13 August 2026. What we do with your answers is a separate document — the privacy policy.
18 and over
Dating MOU is for adults. You need your own account — two people cannot share one.
The sender pays
Your first few invites are free. After that the person sending pays. Answering an invite is always free.
The MOU binds nobody
It creates no legal obligation. Not a contract, not a prenup, not advice — there is nothing in it to enforce.
Leave whenever
Delete your account from your account page at any time. No notice period, no email to send us.
You must be 18 or older to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete the data.
You need your own account. Dating MOU works by two people answering separately and privately, so sharing one login with the person you are connecting with defeats the product and breaks the seal that makes the comparison mean anything.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account while you control it — tell us at hello@datingmou.com if you think someone else has got into it.
You answer a set of questions. So does the person you invite. Neither of you sees the other's answers until you have both finished. Then you both get the same thing: your answers side by side, and a document — the MOU — drafted from them by AI.
That document creates no legal obligation. It is not a contract, not a prenup, not a settlement, and not a substitute for advice from a lawyer or a therapist. Neither of you is bound by any part of it, and neither of you has anything to enforce. If one of you later does the opposite of what you wrote, that is a conversation to have — it is not a breach of anything. This is covered in more detail under what the MOU is not.
It is also not a crisis service. If you are in danger, or in an emergency, contact your local emergency services or a domestic violence helpline. This is a conversation tool between two people who both want to use it.
When you send an invite you give us an email address and, if you want, a message. Two things follow from that, and both are on you:
It has to be the right address
We send your invite and your message to whatever address you type. Check it. We cannot recall an email once it has gone.
It has to be someone who wants it
Only invite a person who would welcome it. Do not use invites to contact someone who has asked you to leave them alone, to pressure anyone into answering, or to reach a person who has no idea who you are.
Anyone can ignore an invite, and nobody is ever obliged to answer. If you invite someone and they never start, you can delete the connection and any invite you paid for returns to your credits.
You own what you write. We do not claim ownership of your answers and we do not sell them.
You do give us permission to use them for the one purpose that makes the product work: storing them, comparing them with the answers of the person you connected with, and sending them to our AI provider to draft your MOU. That permission ends when you delete your answers or your account.
Once the seal opens, it stays open. When you have both finished, you each see the other's answers and neither of you can edit yours. That is deliberate — an answer you can revise after seeing theirs is worth nothing. It also means you should write only what you are willing for that person to read.
Deleting your account deletes the connections you are part of for both people. It cannot reach a copy someone already downloaded or an email already in their inbox. The privacy policy sets out exactly what goes and what survives.
Your first few connections are free. After that, each new connection costs a flat fee. The current free allowance and price are always shown on the pricing page — we do not restate them here, because they can change and a stale number in a legal document helps nobody.
The sender pays, always
Whoever sends the invite pays for it. The person receiving an invite never pays to answer, and never needs a card.
No card until you need one
You can sign up and use your free allowance without entering payment details.
It is not a subscription
There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. You buy invites when you want them, singly or in packs, and unused credits stay on your account.
Unused invites come back
If a connection never completes and you delete it, the invite returns to your credits. Credits are for use on this service — they are not cash and cannot be transferred.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars, and any tax due is added at checkout where applicable.
Do not use Dating MOU to:
Harass or harm anyone
Including using invites, personal messages, or shared reports to intimidate, threaten, or humiliate a person.
Impersonate someone
Do not create an account as another person, or answer as someone you are not.
Break into it
No scraping, no automated account creation, no probing or interfering with the service, and no attempt to reach data belonging to anyone else.
Resell it
The service is for your own personal use. Do not resell access, use it to run a service of your own, or use it commercially without our written agreement.
Your MOU is drafted by AI reading both sets of answers. It is generated text, and generated text is sometimes wrong: it can misread a nuance, overstate an agreement, or flatten something that mattered.
Read it as a starting point for a conversation, never as a finding about your relationship or about the other person. If it says something that does not match what you meant, what you meant is the true version.
We are a small operation and this product is still being built. We may add, change, or remove features, and the service may be unavailable at times — planned or otherwise. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
If we ever discontinue Dating MOU, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to download your reports before anything is deleted.
You can leave at any time by deleting your account from your account page. It takes effect immediately.
We can close an account that is breaking the fair use rules above, being used to harm someone, or creating legal risk for us or another user. Where it is appropriate and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. If we close your account and you had unused paid credits, we will refund them unless the closure was for harming another person.
Dating MOU is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that anything it produces will be accurate or suitable for a particular decision you are making.
Nothing here is professional advice. It is not legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for a lawyer, a financial adviser, or a therapist. Decisions you make about your relationship, your money, or your living arrangements are yours.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Dating MOU is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what another person does with something you chose to share with them.
Some places do not allow these limits to be excluded. Where that is true, these terms limit our liability only as far as that jurisdiction permits, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Dating MOU after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, delete your account — that is always available and always immediate.
Questions about any of this go to hello@datingmou.com. A real person reads it.
